what scope or scopes would be best for a .222 Rem. rifle for shooting coyotes at 200 + yards?
I don't agree that you get what you pay for at least not in the mid range market. I have scopes by Leupold, Nikon, Burris, Bushnell and BSA. The BSA Platinum 6-24x44 is as good as any and I paid $99 for it.
What's the difference between cheap and expensive rifle scopes?
What makes a scope expensive? I've found multiple scopes that range from $80 to $500 but have all of the same specs. Is there something that I'm missing? Yes, it's called "resolution". How come some rifle scopes have slits or pinholes in the front?
How come some rifle scopes have slits or pinholes in the front instead of having the entire front lense exposed? Here is what I mean ... in the start of the video the scope has a pinhole and the one at about 0:37 has a slit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8cQW9BFh
Most of the time the counter sniper will have a slit on the front scope lens is for the reduction of light. This is to stop light reflecting off the lens or with pin holes to stop too much light coming in.
