What kind of store can I find a Mayan hammock in?

I want a hammock but want to try it out before I buy it. Im interested in the Mayan hammocks but have no idea where I could go to try one out.

*If its helps Im in the USA on the east coast...

Not sure of where you could go locally to buy a hammock. Your best bet might be to buy one from an online company with a return policy in case you don't like it.

Does anyone, with an option, sleep in a Mayan hammock?

Just wondering if they are practical and comfortable before buying mattresses for my fishing cabin.

I think that depends on how you sleep. If you sleep on your back, it would be quite comfortable. If you are a stomach sleeper or if you turn a lot at night, it may not be a good idea. I have a hand made hammock that I purchased in Mexico many years

Does sleeping in a hammock for extended periods of time leave permanent effects?

I've been sleeping in a hammock every night since about October. I switched one out with my regular bed. But sometimes I find myself slouching a lot more than usual, and I am very conscious of my back now. I'm always straightening it. Does anyone know

I think you need to get your bed back, as that is not a natural position to be sleeping in all of the time.
